I find books at our library sales, and for some strange reason, I'm drawn to WW2 incredible stories, having just read about the war in Europe (A Higher Call) about B-24 pilots, and now reading "Unbroken" about B-24 pilots in the Pacific theater--and stunned at the way the army put our men in danger in such terribly constructed airplanes! I have one thought about all this: WAR IS HELL! Both books are so well-written, I hope you are familiar with them.

But WW1 "takes the cake" as men were forced to leave the dugouts and face certain death from machine gun fire, dropping like bowling pins, and then the mustard gas...when will us humans learn that War is Not the Answer? Ever!
